Primary Field Trip Adventure at Patom Organic Farm

The Primary students of Dragon International School recently embarked on an exciting and educational field trip to Patom Organic Farm a day filled with hands-on learning, laughter, and unforgettable experiences in nature.

Getting Hands-On in the Rice Paddies

One of the most exciting activities of the day was planting rice in the muddy paddies. With their pant legs rolled up and big smiles on their faces, students eagerly stepped into the cool mud to learn how rice is traditionally grown. Guided by the farm instructors, they carefully planted young rice seedlings row by row.

It was a fun (and a little messy!) experience that helped students understand the hard work and dedication behind one of our most important staple foods.

Discovering the Beauty of Organic Farming

Throughout the tour, students learned about:

• The importance of organic farming

• Sustainable agricultural practices

• Natural composting methods

• Growing vegetables without harmful chemicals

They explored the lush gardens, observed different herbs and crops, and discovered how farms play an essential role in protecting the environment.

Farm-to-Table Cooking Fun

Another highlight of the trip was the cooking session. Students participated in preparing simple, delicious dishes using fresh ingredients harvested directly from the farm. From washing vegetables to mixing ingredients, everyone took part in the process.

The joy of cooking together and tasting their own creations made the experience even more special. It was a wonderful way to understand the journey of food from farm to table.

A Day Full of Smiles and Discovery

The visit to Patom Organic Farm was not only educational but also full of fun and adventure. Watching our students explore, ask questions, and engage so enthusiastically with farm life was truly heartwarming.
